pCAP03

Use

The pCAP03 plasmid has been successfully used to create capture vectors that can be used for TAR cloning of biosynthetic gene clusters.

Features

• Apramycin resistance cassette (acc(3)IV).

Capture arms can be cloned within the restriction enzymes sites, and the plasmid can be selected for with kanamycin. pCAP03 contains a URA3 gene that allows for selection against non-homologous end joining in the presence of 5-fluoroorotic acid (5-FOA).

History

The plasmid was developed by Bradley Moore's lab as an upgraded version of pCAP01.
