Starch Casein Agar

Preparation

Per Litre:

  • 10 g soluble starch
  • 2g K2HPO4
  • 2g KNO3
  • 0.3g casein
  • 0.05g MgSO4*7H2O
  • 0.02g CaCO3
  • 0.01g FeSO4*7H2O
  • 15 agar


Instructions

  1. Mix all the components together well, and adjust the volume with distilled water to 1 L final volume.
  2. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
