ABB13

ABB13 is a great medium for inducing antibiotic production and has also been used to improve transformation efficiency in actinomycetes.

ABB1 base medium contained the following components (g/L):

  • 10g Bacto Soytone,
  • 9g yeast extract,
  • 10g soluble starch,
  • 15g cerelose
  • Add pH 7.0 filter sterilised MOPS buffer to a final concentration of 50 mM after autoclaving.
